1. Romain Marula: biography

Romain works in Brussels and does graphic design, art, teaches and codes.
Since 2015 he leads with Ivan Murit, ivro, an artistic research project which tackles the social interactions of new media and their algorithmic and automated nature.
In 2016 he visited an artistic residency at the villa Médicis in Rome and co-founded the atelier Bek in Brussels.
In 2017, he co-founded Luuse, a group of designers who pay particular attention to the methods, the processes and the tools used, and to their documentation.
Since September 2017, he teaches digital tools, hybrid editions and the digital exploration at the Graduate School of Arts Le 75 and the digital culture at the Graduate School of Arts of Mons Arts2.
In 2018 and 2019, with Luuse, and among other things, he collaborated with the Villa Noailles.
He collected Web resources to feed the project ressources.luuse.io. He participated in the creation of posters and flyers for the salon Mirage 2018.
He worked on the presentation of productions elaborated with experimental and free technics at the Gaîté Lyrique during their event called PrePostPrint. He developed a workshop on layout tools during the Festival Fig. He created the design and programmed the website Abécédaire on the occasion of the 50 years anniversary of the Esa 75 as well as the websites Twenty-Nine and NosFuturs.net.

2. Alexandre Leray: biography

Alexandre Leray is a graphic designer, developer and teacher.
Alexandre Leray has been working since 2009 at Open Source Publishing asbl, a Brusselsbased association that experiments with graphic design and typography through free and open source software. His practice combines programming and a visual approach to design, for screen and print. He is particularly interested in the relationship between editorial and design practices, digital tools and free culture.
Since September 2017, he teaches Digital Image in the option Images Plurielles Imprimées at the École Supérieure des Arts LE 75.
Alexandre Leray is also co-founder of Médor, a Belgian quarterly of investigations and stories organized in cooperative. He ensures, in a collegial way, the artistic direction, the graphic design and the development of free/libre HTML layout tools.

4. Antoine Gelgon: biography

Antoine Gelgon est un designer attiré par les systèmes d’écritures, la typographie ainsi que par l’histoire et la philosophie des techniques. Sa pratique tente de rechercher et de valoriser dans les dialogues entre designer et son environnement, la singularité technique et les nouvelles formes d’expressivités qui en découle. Loin de vouloir réaliser des prouesses techniques, mais bien plus des transgressions dans les usages et des développements de méthodes combinatoires entre différents objets, il pense la technique comme matière réflexive, indispensable aux transmissions des savoirs et constitutions de communs. Il rejoint le collectif OSP en 2017 et cofonde la même année le groupe de designers Luuse.
